Poetry with a Capital Y - Goolwa Sunday 25th April 2010

Poetry With A Capital Y is a professional development and networking conference for teachers,student teachers, poets and educators. Through a series of interactive workshops, panels and discussions, you are invited to explore current issues, initiatives and opportunities surrounding the teaching of poetry at both primary and secondary levels.

Highlights Include...
 Keynote Speaker Chris Wallace-Crabbe
 'Why Teach Poetry?' panel featuring Grant Caldwell (University of Melbourne), Lisa Gorton
(Vic) and South Australian educators Jude McCudden and Juliet Paine
 Launch of the APC's new School Poet Laureates initiative and information about how your
school can get involved
 An interpreting poetry workshop focusing on texts from the current SACE curriculum
 An experiential workshop with poet and educator, Harry Laing
 Networking opportunities and information about exciting opportunities for your students and
your school
 Free morning tea and lunch
